Identity formation and maintenance in a large hospital construction project

Earlier research has demonstrated that in a project organization, identity is central leadership vehicle offers useful means for examining and developing shared interests goals among participants. However, little focused on formation maintenance. We the case of large hospital construction used qualitative method to create propositions describing essential activities program management office (PMO), director, together with team need intentionally undertake early phases corresponding maintenance during implementation period. The findings indicate creation initiated from first meetings at front end naturally evolves, but significant intentional actions be organized controlled end. Identity as deliberate managerial action should take place keep alive positive resource, not resulting fading away something else.
